Notice of Motion 1:
Support for WASPI Women and Fair Compensation
 
That the Notice of Motion be deferred until
the next Council meeting.
 
Notice of Motion 2:
Shining a Light on Local Decisions
 

(a)       That
Council calls upon the North Wales Corporate Joint Committees (CJC)
to commit to webcasting its meetings live and to making recordings
available online afterwards;
 

(b)       That
Council write to the Chair of the North Wales CJC, and to its
constituent Councils, urging them to adopt the commitment to
transparency; and
 

(c)       
That Council publicise the resolution to the local media so
residents of Flintshire are aware of their Council’s stance
on ensuring accountability at regional level.

 

Notice of Motion 3: Use of Premises, Church Street, Flint

 

(a)       Whist
being cognisant of the cost of urgent decommissioning of the
building, that officers be asked to draw up plans for the
expeditious cessation of the use of Church Street flats for
temporary accommodation;

 

(b)       That
officers keep the Flint Members informed of the progress and of the
development and execution of those plans;

 

(c)       
That officers prepare a feasibility study on securing the continued
use of the flats for general purpose accommodation;

 

(d)       That
the Chief Officer (Housing and Communities) organises an urgent
briefing for Members regarding their concerns on the processes of
allocations for persons awaiting trial who are not from the
Flintshire area but are placed in the County; and

 

(e)       That
requests are made to the Police, Court Service and Probation
Service and all other relevant agencies to be present at the
briefing along with Flintshire officers.

 

Notice of Motion 4: Protecting Flintshire from Overdevelopment

Notice of Motion 5: Protecting Residents from Developer
Misconduct
 

(a)       That
Council reaffirm its commitment to protecting residents from
developer misconduct;
 

(b)       That
developments in Flintshire should be carried out in accordance with
the agreements entered into with the Council; and
 

(c)       
that it was vital that breaches of planning regulations and
conditions are appropriately enforced in order to protect residents
and deter future misconduct.

 

Notice of Motion 6: Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Flintshire
Council Services

Notice of Motion 7: Tackling Flooding in Flintshire
 
That the report,
approved by the Climate Change Committee at its meeting in November
2024 following its flooding inquiry, be considered by the
Environment & Economy Overview & Scrutiny Committee.
