Purpose

To seek the views of members on the proposed
designation of a new national park for North-East Wales

(a)      
Whilst noting that Welsh Government had clarified a commitment to
funding a new National Park for North East Wales without
financially disadvantaging the existing National Parks or the
constituent Local Authorities, in the absence of detailed
information outlining the governance arrangements specifically
relating to the Planning functions of a new National Park, the
Council continues to raise concerns about duplication and value for
money; and
 

(b)       That
the final wording of the draft response attached at Appendix 2 be
delegated to the Cabinet Member for Environment, Regeneration,
Countryside and Tourism in conjunction with the Chief Officer
(Place and Growth).
