Purpose

To inform a discussion and agreement on whether the Council should sign up to the Young Carer’s Covenant.

Decision

(a)       That Member supported the recommendation to Full Council to seek their agreement that the local authority signs the Carer’s Trust Young Carers Covenant;   

(b)       That NEWCIS and young carers are invited to Full Council when the report is considered; and

(c)        The Education portfolio is encouraged to reach out to school governing bodies to support the Covenant.
