Purpose

To present the outcome of the recent public consultation on the public toilets at Holywell, Mold and Talacre.

Decision

RESOLVED:

(a)       That the work undertaken to date on the public consultation on the future of public toilets at Holywell, Mold and Talacre be acknowledged;

(b)       That the recommendation that the County Council works with the respective Town and Community Councils to facilitate the potential Community Asset Transfer (CAT) of the toilet facilities in Mold, Holywell and Talacre be noted;

(c)        That the proposed bid for capital funding through the Pride in Place grant to upgrade the three local toilet facilities in Mold, Holywell and Talacre prior to their potential transfer to the Town and Community Councils to ensure that the bids reflect their needs be supported; and

(d)       That the draft timetable for reviewing the Local Toilet Strategy following consideration of the outcome of the recent public consultation and consideration of the options be supported.  An interim progress report covering the two-year period commencing from the date of last publication will be prepared and published by September 2026.
