Purpose
To report on a workforce programme to develop and embed an effective social care practice model in children and family services.
Decision
(a) That the Collaborative Communication training as a core requirement for all staff in Children’s Services, to equip practitioners to build empowering, strengths-focused conversations with children and families be endorsed; and
(b) That the vital role of senior and middle management in championing and modelling this approach, actively reinforcing a culture or collaboration and consistency across all Teams to embed sustainable outcomes-focussed practice be recognised.
