Purpose

To recommend to Council the Community Reviews under the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013 – Final Recommendations.

Decision

(a)       That, subject to the amendment in recommendation (d) below, Council approve the recommendations as included in the Final Recommendations Report in Appendix 1 under Sections 25 and 31 of the Local Government (Democracy) (Wales) Act 2013;

(b)       That Council approve that the amended recommendations for change under the

Section 25 review be submitted to the Local Democracy and Boundary

Commission for Wales (DBCC);

(c)        That Council delegate to the Head of Legal Services the authority to make

and seal the Order for the Review under section 31 of the Act;

(d)       In order to correct a discrepancy within the document attached to the agenda, paragraph 5.5 of the Final Recommendations Report in Appendix 1 be amended so that it was consistent with the proposal in paragraph 5.26 and to bring it in line with the representations received from both Pen Y Ffordd Community Council and Buckley Town Council.
