Purpose

To seek approval to progress to public engagement using the proposed “base bus network” as part of the development of bus franchising.

Decision

That Cabinet supports the proposed approach and approves the base network, as shown in the Remix platform, which is intended to be used to shape discussions in the public engagement sessions for bus franchising across North Wales, recognising that Flintshire will be allocated Investment Zone funding for public transport improvements over the next nine years to implement a range of interventions to enhance bus services and improve accessibility to Deeside Industrial Park, and support wider community connectivity.
