Purpose

To set out in detail the forecast cost pressures for 2027/28 and enable members to have a better understanding of the latest financial position.

Decision

(a)      That the update on the additional budget requirement for the 2027/28 financial year and early indications for 2028/29 – 2031/32 be received;

(b)      That the process and timeline for budget setting for 2031/32 be agreed; and

(c)      That a letter to be sent to the Minister to assist in lobbying for additional funding, highlighting the importance.
