Purpose

To seek approval of the Council’s Fleet Strategy, which sets out a clear framework for the effective, efficient, and sustainable management of the Council’s vehicle and plant fleet, including future investment priorities and transition to low emission vehicles.

Decision

(a)      That the proposed Fleet Services Strategy be approved as the corporate framework for fleet management as the mandatory governance and control environment for Fleet Services; and

(b)      That delegated authority be given to the Chief Officer (Streetscene and Transportation) to implement the Strategy and the Fleet Risk and Control Model and Corporate Fleet Policy Register as the governance framework by developing supporting policies and procedures for future Cabinet approval.
