Purpose

To consider whether the PSPO for Dog Control and Alcohol should be renewed for a further three-year period from the end of October 2026.

Decision

(a)            That Members support the extension and variation of the Public Space Protection Order relating to Dog Control and Dog Fouling for a further period of three years, from the date of expiry of the current PSPO.

(b)            That Members support the extension of the Public Space Protection Order relating to Alcohol Control for a further period of three years from the date of expiry of the current PSPO.

(c)            That Members support, subject to final Cabinet determination, the agreed Public Space Protection Orders covering Dog Control and Dog Fouling, and Alcohol Control commence on 30th October 2026 following publicity of the upcoming order.
