Purpose

To share the
Public Services Ombudsman for Wales (PSOW) Annual Letter 2022-23
for Flintshire County Council and an overview of the complaints
received against Council services in the first half of 2023-24.

Content

(a)       That the Committee
notes the improving annual performance of the Council in respect of
complaints made to the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales during
2022-23;

 

(b)       That the Committee
notes the half year performance of the Council (2023-24) in respect
of complaints made to services in line with the concerns and
complaints procedure;

 

(c)       That the Committee
supports the priorities outlined in paragraph 1.24 to continuously
improve complaints handling; and

 
(d)      
That the Committee notes the lessons learned from the developing
complaints procedure.
