Purpose

To set out in detail the forecast cost pressures for 2027/28 and enable Members to have a better understanding of the latest financial position.

Decision

(a)      That the update on the Council’s concerning budget position for the 2027/28 financial year in advance of future consideration by relevant Overview and Scrutiny Committees; and

(b)      That the ongoing work to identify budget solutions be noted and an approach to address the serious and major budget challenge be agreed.
