Purpose

To report on the outcome of the Care Inspectorate Wales Improvement Check of Adult Services in March 2026 and next steps.

Decision

(a)    That the Committee acknowledges the steps taken by the local authority to address areas for improvement identified in the 2023 CIW inspection which demonstrates progress in all areas; and

(b)    That the Committee endorses the action plan and the submission of annual updates to provide ongoing assurance, and supports continued improvement across Adult Services.
