Purpose

This regular monthly report provides the latest revenue budget monitoring position for 2025/26 for the Council Fund and Housing Revenue Account. The position is based on actual income and expenditure as at Month 5, and projects forward to year-end.

Decision

(a)      That the report and the estimated financial impact on the 2026/27 budget be noted, and the measures being put in place to improve the financial position by the end of the financial year be noted; and

(b)      That the in-year actions in Social Services, in particular those rated Amber and Red, be reported to Corporate Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee on a regular basis.
