Full council record

Purpose

Shepherd House

(resident re-integration
and rehabilitation)

The grant will support funded Fitness membership to
Folkestone Sports Centre

for the residents of Shepherd House, to support
their rehabilitation from

substance misuse and their re-integration into
community life.

A very successful Pilot programme was run over the
past years and a

contribution towards the costs of these memberships
will enable to programme

to be repeated for the coming year.

Decision

To provide
funding of £150.00 to the above project.

Reason for decision:

The project trialled from April 22 – March 23
and has demonstrated fantastic benefits, assisting 50% of the
participating residents towards a successful rehabilitation. The
Partnership is seeking funding to continue this valuable
programme.

The FSCT staff have witnessed the visible
improvement in the Well-Being of participants who stayed with the
programme and are proud of the part that we have played in their
recovery. We look forward to working alongside at least one former
resident, as a volunteer mentor for the future
programmes.
