Purpose

This report suggests the formation of cross-party Steering Group to consider matters relating to the preparation, review and assessment of planning policy matters, including the new Folkestone & Hythe Local Plan.

DECISION:

1. 1.     To receive and note report C/26/07.
2. 2.     To form a steering group in accordance with the terms of reference shown at Appendix 1 of the report.

Reasons for decision:

The creation of the Planning Policy Steering Group (“the Group”) will assist and support the Cabinet (via the Portfolio Holder for Otterpool Park and Planning Policy) and the Corporate Leadership Team in relation to the preparation, review and assessment of planning policy matters, including the new Folkestone & Hythe Local Plan.
