The Gedling Borough Council Cabinet is the executive arm of the council, responsible for overall strategy, delivery of priorities, and managing key relationships. It oversees all council responsibilities, including partnerships, corporate governance, and emergency planning.
Individual Portfolio Holders within the Cabinet are responsible for specific areas. These include sustainable growth, economy, planning, housing, business development, corporate resources, financial management, environmental services, public protection, climate change, health and wellbeing, communities, and life chances. They have the authority to make executive decisions within their remit, monitor service performance, approve policies, and respond to consultations, subject to financial regulations and officer advice.
