Overview and Scrutiny Committee

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee provides local accountability by allowing councillors, who are not part of the Cabinet, to review the decisions, policies, and services of the council and other organisations. This ensures services meet the needs of the local community.

It manages the scrutiny work programme, reviews performance data, holds Cabinet members accountable, and acts as the authority's Crime and Disorder Committee.
