About

The Standards Committee promotes and maintains high standards of conduct for Gedling Borough Council members and co-opted members, including those from parish councils. It assists them in observing the Members' Code of Conduct, advises on its adoption or revision, and monitors its operation. The committee also provides training, grants dispensations for interests, and handles reports from the Monitoring Officer. It advises on the register of interests and deals with recruitment matters for independent and parish members of the committee, as well as the Independent Person.
