Purpose

To give approval for On the Scene Event
Management Ltd to hold a Funfair event at Burton Road Jubilee Park
from 22nd -25th August, operating time from 12:00pm until 20:00pm.
Arriving on site to set up on 20th August at 8am and to leave site
on 26th August by 5pm.

Decision

That On the Scene Event Management Ltd be
permitted to go ahead with their Funfair on the dates and times
mentioned above. Attendance, est. 7500 over the operating
period.
This decision is dependent on; the payment of the licence fee of
£3800 and additional RPI uplift, payable one week prior to
the event, compliance with Health and Safety Regulations, to
provide to the Council a Notts Safety Advisory Group approved event
management plan, satisfactory food hygiene rated food vendors,
appropriate public liability insurance, safety certificate and risk
assessments for the inflatables and the issue of a user licence
agreement indemnifying Gedling Borough Council in the event of
accident for any activities held on the recreation ground and to
ensure the land is reinstated should any damage to the land occur
whilst accessing and exiting the site.
In addition to the above, the organiser must not set out or erect
any structure on the two Cricket Squares, only pedestrian traffic
is permitted within these areas.

Reasons for the decision

To encourage use of the Council Parks and Open
Spaces
To facilitate the provision of amusement rides for the residents
living near to the parks and so encourage social cohesion.
