Purpose

To give permission for WAG to organise a
firework display at Muirfield Recreation Ground on Saturday 1st
November 2025 between 17:30pm to 20:30pm, fireworks display to
commence at 19:30pm (site set up from 12:30pm and site cleared by
21:30pm)

Decision

That WAG be permitted to run their event at
Muirfield Recreation Ground on the above dates and times. Estimated
attendance up to 500. Subject to:
The organiser to ensure the reduction of the decibels of the
fireworks and will market the event widely within the area ensuring
residents have prior knowledge of the event.
The organiser will sign a user licence agreement indemnifying
Gedling Borough Council in the event of accident for any activities
held on the park.
The organiser will consult with the Nottinghamshire Safety Advisory
Group to assist with an approved Event Management Plan having full
regard for health & safety at the event. The management plan
will be approved prior to the event.
The organiser will provide the names and addresses of the food
vendors and food safety certificates which will be assessed by GBC
environmental health team.

Reasons for the decision

To encourage use of the Council’s Parks
and Open Spaces.
