To allow the lease to be assigned.

To grant approval for assignment of the lease.

Reasons for the decision

The assignment is permitted within the lease terms and carries a low risk of any negative implications to the Council. Refusal to grant permission is only allowed within the lease if this is reasonable.

Alternative options considered

Not to allow the assignment of the lease however as this may result in hindering business operations. Contractually there is no real reason that the Council could refuse and to do so may also risk Legal challenge.
