About
The Cabinet is responsible for making day-to-day decisions on council services and functions. It also makes recommendations to the full Council on major policy plans, the budget, and Council Tax.
The Cabinet consists of seven councillors, including the Leader of the Council who chairs its meetings. Each Cabinet Member is responsible for specific council services such as Regeneration, Resources, Environment, Housing, Planning, Community Engagement, and Culture and Leisure. The Cabinet is held accountable by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee.
