Decision

·        Approve the establishment of a new Gravesham Borough Council wholly owned company with charitable purposes to support the continued delivery of community activities

·        Approve allocation of £150,000 per annum for an initial period of 3 years to the operation and development of the new company, subject to the Council’s normal financial governance arrangements.

·        Delegate authority to the Deputy Chief Executive and Director of Communities & Inclusive Growth, Director of Corporate Services and the Council’s Monitoring Officer in consultation with The Leader and Portfolio Holder, to take all necessary legal, financial and practical steps to establish the new company, implement the proposed transition arrangements, subject to a detailed, sustainable business case being prepared.
