Purpose

Olive Pathway and the Support and Action for Women Network (SAWN) have previously received funding through a grant agreement to support the Greater Manchester Combined Authority in establishing the Greater Manchester Gender-Based Violence Lived Experience Panel and providing ongoing support for the successful administration of the Panel.

The requested funding will cover Olive Pathway’s and SAWN’s management fees for the financial years 2025-26 and 2026-27, together with the payments made to Panel Members during 2025-26.

This will ensure that the Panel can continue to operate effectively and that Panel Members are appropriately remunerated for their time and contribution.

The funding is broken down as follows:

2025-26
• Management Fees - £18,000.00
• Amount Paid to Panel Members - £2896.93

2026-27
• Management Fees - £18,000.00

Whilst the value of this Decision Notice is below the £50,000.00 threshold for a Deputy Mayor decision, it should be noted that £40,000.00 has previously been paid to Olive Pathway and SAWN for the same purpose as set out in this notice through a grant agreement.

This Decision Notice is therefore being progressed to ensure transparency and appropriate oversight of the cumulative funding provided for this work.

Decision

The Deputy Mayor for Safer and Stronger Communities approves £38,896.93 of funding for Olive Pathway for the support they provide to the Greater Manchester Gender-Based Violence Lived Experience Panel.
