The Greater Manchester Combined Authority Resources Committee approved the minutes of their 28 August 2026 meeting. The committee endorsed the rationale for appointing an interim Group Chief Executive, recommended the Deputy Group Chief Executive for this role from 28 August 2026, and noted the role profile and statement of suitability for Andrew Lightfoot. Authority was delegated to the Director of People Services, in consultation with the Mayor, to finalise interim appointment arrangements and temporary backfilling.
