Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Resources (up to October 2025)

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Resources provides constructive challenge and holds the Council's Executive to account on matters related to finance, assets, and organisational development. It does not make decisions but plays a role in policy development and enhancing accountability and transparency. This committee scrutinises areas including Communications & Customer Services, Housing Services, Assets & Property, Finance, Legal & Democratic Services, Organisational Development, and Council-owned Companies. It can also assume responsibility for scrutinising items with significant funding implications that fall within the remit of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee – Services, with agreement.
