A decision to vary the original contract with
Airey Miller Limited in relation to the Dunmore, Broomfield, Wharf
Lane and Georgelands schemes.

Reasons for the decision

There is a requirement to vary the original
contract with Airey Miller in relation to the Dunmore, Broomfield,
Wharf Lane and Georgelands schemes. Due to delay in the pre-tender
stage, a fee prolongation resulting in an uplift of
£33,398.40 is required to facilitate the extended project
programme and to allow for services to continue throughout the
construction programme through to project closure.

Alternative options considered

Alternative options considered
1) Not to vary contract - this was decided against due to needing
the services to continue until contract closure. Not varying the
contract could leave us open to services being suspended until new
contract is in place, should available funds run out before a DoV
is established.
