The Joint Strategic Director Economy, Planning
& Place is asked to use their delegated authority to authorise
the letting of the contract to undertake the Guildford Urban
Capacity Study to Maccreanor Lavington.

Reasons for the decision

This evidence base document is necessary to
inform the update to the Local Plan. The update to the Local Plan
was agreed by full Council on 21 February 2024.

The initial phase (identifying the long list of sites) is a fixed
price piece of work at £60,013. This is within our
consultants’ budget and does not rely on the growth bid being
approved. The second phase will be to develop detailed site design
parameters for emerging site allocations and will be undertaken at
a daily rate depending on the number of sites we wish to take
forward.

It is a threshold 3 contract and we undertook a competitive tender
process for this piece of work.
