Decision:

1.    
Subject to
similar approval by the Executive of Waverley Borough Council,
approve the extension of the existing temporary arrangements set
out in Appendix A until 31 December 2025.

2.    
Delegate
the authority to the Chief Executive, in consultation with the
Leader of the Council, to approve the creation of new joint posts
for Guildford Borough Council and Waverley Borough Council, in
accordance with all Human Resource policies and within approved
budget.
Reason(s):

1.    
To ensure that the sharing of staff between the two
Councils is dealt with in a consistent manner and in accordance
with the inter authority agreement.

2.    
To ensure that the existing service provision across
both Councils continues in order to provide both organisations with
the services in the most efficient way.

3.    
To give time for the Assistant Directors to make
informed decisions regarding the future of those services
affected.

4.    
To enable new joint posts to be created where
supported by a business case, with agile, transparent and robust
decision making by the Chief Executive, in consultation with the
Leader.
