Continuation of an automated telephone
payments solution through an extension clause in the existing
G-Cloud agreement, to enable the Council to continue to take
payments over the telephone.

Reasons for the decision

The Council's existing automated telephone
payment (ATP) system licence agreement expires on 30th June 2023.
The Council continues to require automated telephone payment
functionality.

A licensing arrangement to enable continued use is therefore
considered necessary at this time.

Alternative options considered

The existing contract has an option for
extending a further 12 months with the existing provider and
solution.

As the inflation-linked nature of this G-Cloud extension offers a
competitive option that avoids the costs of implementing and
training against a new platform, alternative solutions have been
rejected at this time.
