The scope of services is to include all
Environmental Services (including ecological services and
associated surveys). The services may also include landscape and
civil services for the sub projects relating to Phases 1-6 (incl.
New Depot), SANG, Stoke Lock Bridge, Common Land, Off-Site
Highways, Allotments and General Site-Wide Services.
Following a competitive procurement process using the ESPO
Framework, Stantec were selected as the successful supplier. The
proposed value of the contract is to be £750,000 incl.
contingency.

Reasons for the decision

To ensure there is the necessary resource and
expertise available to progress the various workstreams linked to
Weyside Urban Village, as outlined above.

Alternative options considered

The Council could decide not to award the
contract to Stantec, however they have been assessed as being
suitably qualified and able to deliver the requirements set out in
the scope of services following a compliant procurement
exercise.
