Adoption of the Tall Buildings SPD

Content

Decision:
To adopt the Tall Buildings
Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) at Appendix 1;
and,
To authorise the Assistant
Director for Planning, in consultation with the Lead Councillor for
Planning, to make such minor alterations to improve the clarity of
the adopted SPD as they may deem necessary.
 
Reason(s):
Adopting the new SPD will
provide detailed guidance for tall buildings in Guildford Town
Centre, supplementing relevant Local Plan policies. This will help
to achieve positive design outcomes.
Allowing for minor alterations
to improve clarity of the SPD under delegation enables any
editorial or other non-substantive issues to be addressed in an
efficient manner.
