To enter into a contract for cashless parking
services

Reasons for the decision

Current contract expires due for renewal,
therefore entering into contract whilst investigating National
Parking Platform (NPP).
To protect ticket revenue of around £7.0m annum.
The cost of the service to GBC will include a financial saving with
the processing fee reducing from 3% of gross transactional value
(GTV) to 2.25% of GTV.

Alternative options considered

Do nothing - become out of contract and
jeopardise the preferred payment method / revenue from over 1.5m
car park customers
Procure - contract of longer term, which may restrict ability to
move to the NPP.
