Ash Parish Council has submitted a
neighbourhood plan and supporting documents under regulation 15 of
the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012. Officers
have determined that the submission complies with the requirements
of regulation 15 and is therefore valid.
Under regulation 16, the Council is required “as soon as
possible” to hold a 6-week public consultation on the
plan.
The Council is then required under regulation 17 to arrange an
independent examination.
The neighbourhood plan covers three wards. This decision does not
relate to the adoption or bringing into force of the neighbourhood
plan, and consequently is not considered to result in a significant
impact on those wards. Therefore this is not a key decision.

Reasons for the decision

To comply with the Neighbourhood Planning
(General) Regulations 2012 (as amended).

Alternative options considered

The alternative is to reject/refuse the
neighbourhood plan. As the submission is valid, this would not
comply with regulations.
