Decision
The contract with our print mail supplier is expired, as is the procurement framework.
Electoral Services must conduct and administer elections to the West Surrey Shadow Unitary Authority due to be contested on Thursday 7 May 2026.
To do so it must arrange printing of poll cards, postal votes and polling station ballot papers. The cost of print mail services is expected to be: c.£133,004.97
This is comprised of:
Print Services @ £26,624.97
Postal Services (via Print/Mail Supplier) @ £106,380.00
Reasons for the decision
To meet the Returning Officer's statutory duty to conduct scheduled elections in accordance with legislation.
Alternative options considered
None - The print mail supplier is experienced in providing like services to the Returning Officer where effective, accurate, and efficient compliance with electoral law is essential.
