To to purchase and apply Gypsum to certain
sports pitches and event areas.
Finance approved spend of £26063.
Procurement agreed direct award on 06/01/2026 due to damage caused
by events this year and the small window of opportunity to purchase
and apply.

Reasons for the decision

The application of Gypsum is used to
ameliorate clay soils to improve drainage. This is necessary to
maintain the quality of the sports pitches which are exposed to
wear and tear from users and the increased events that are being
held on our sites.
