Invoke the extension option of the
Council’s current G-Cloud agreement with Astun Technology Ltd
for GIS mapping system licensing, support and data services.

Reasons for the decision

The Council's existing geographic information
system is a cloud software product. The contract for this product,
along with support and data services is due to expire on 31st March
2026. The Council continues to use mapping for both internal and
public-facing services. A licensing arrangement to enable continued
use is therefore considered necessary at this time.

Alternative options considered

The existing contract has a price-locked
option for extending a further 12 months with the existing provider
and solution.
As the price-locked nature of this G-Cloud extension offers a
competitive option that avoids the costs of implementing and
training against a new platform, alternative solutions have been
rejected at this time.
