Occupational Therapy Assessment Provider
March 9, 2026 Joint Assistant Director: Community Services (Officer) Approved View on council websiteFull council record
Content
We received four quotations from suitable
suppliers (The OT Practice, SHA Disability Consultancy, the
Occupational Therapy Services and The OT Centre), as part of the
tender for a new Occupational Therapy Consultant contract. This is
required to provide support at peak times to assist with managing
wait list times.
Following evaluation, it is recommended that the contract be
awarded to The OT Practice, which received the highest score. The
evaluation was based on 100% price to ensure best value for the
Council.
Reasons for the decision
The implementation of this contract has been
considered essential to manage the wait list times at times of
staff sickness and annual leave at peak times. The supplier has
been chosen on best value out of four suppliers that submitted
quotations.
Alternative options considered
It was considered not having a contract for
temporary works as and when required. However, to ensure the
resilience of the service this alternative option was
rejected.
