To enter in to a mini S278 agreement with
Surrey County Council for the creation of a Non Motorised User
(NMU) route. This involves the creation of a dropped kerb for
cyclist access and a cycleway to the southern end, which is
proposed to connect the A25 with Lido Road through a path along the
Guildford Lido. The majority of the proposed cycleway will be on
GBC land and will remain so with this proposal. The S278 works also
includes the footway along the A25 to be sided out at verge
encroachment areas.

Reasons for the decision

To allow the S278 to be signed and enable the
Lido NMU works to progress, as part of the Weyside Urban Village
programme.
