To sell the land on which the front porch is located (valued at £2,000) to the owners of 64 Northside.

Reasons for the decision

Following a planning application submitted by the owners of 64 Northside for a rear extension, officers discovered on plans that there was an existing structure which was a porch to the front of the property. This had been built on land that was not included in the right to buy sale and was Guildford Borough Council's land. Following enquiries with the owners the porch was built in 2012.

The porch, whilst belonging to the property owner, is built on GBC land and given the time that this has been in situ, the legal position needs to be regularised.
