Decision
Ash Parish Council has produced a statutory Neighbourhood Development Plan. In accordance with the regulations, it has been subject to an examination and the Council has received the examiner’s report.
The decision is to agree with the examiner’s recommendations which are:
1)to amend the neighbourhood plan as specified and,
2)subject the plan to a statutory referendum of eligible voters within the neighbourhood area (Ash Parish).
Reasons for the decision
Officers have reviewed the examiner’s recommendations and agree that the proposed modifications will ensure that the plan meets the “basic conditions” set by legislation and legal requirements.
Officers agree that Ash Parish is the most appropriate referendum area as recommended by the examiner.
Alternative options considered
To reject the plan. This option was rejected because there are no sound reasons to do so.
