Carbon Architecture were originally contracted by Waverley Borough Council in 2025 to deliver business support to 15 businesses in the borough, with the target of enabling these businesses to become Green Mark accredited, improving their sustainability.
This pilot was successful and so in line with Guildford Borough Council’s declaration of a Climate Emergency in July 2019 and the Economic Development Strategy 2023, the offer will be extended to enable 15 business in Guildford to benefit from the same business support, to achieve Green Mark accreditation.
The contract value is £15,000.

Reasons for the decision

The appointment of Carbon Architecture to deliver business support aligns with Guildford’s aspirations set out in the Economic Development Strategy 2023 to support and promote resident- and business-led green initiatives across the borough.
