Decision

To issue a contract to I and J Bushell Ltd to carry various track repairs and improvements at Shalford Common Car Park, Barchester Car Home, Milkwood, Rose Cottages and Pound Place.

Reasons for the decision

To repair surfaces on Shalford Common that form access tracks and parking areas in order to provide site safety and remove potholes and trip hazards.
These repairs are in compliance with Exec Decision22nd June, 2021:
•to fulfil the Council’s statutory obligations as landowner
•to protect Shalford Common from encroachments in line with the Commons Act 2006 including the prevention of unauthorised
•parking

Alternative options considered

Alternatives: Do nothing. Would not remove current hazards and would enable further deterioration of the open space.
