To award a contract to Trafalgar. Total contract value £24,000

Reasons for the decision

The car parks require mechanical cleaning. Bedford carpark and Leapale carpark do not have GBC purchased scrubber driers. These machines were hired last year on a 12 month lease agreement. We would like to hire these machines for another 12 months. The staff are already familiar with this machine and to ensure continuity and consistency of the cleaning services. These machines were the cheapest last year when we originally spoke with multiple companies and Trafalgar has kept the cost at the same price. Andy Harkin, Parking Lead has confirmed he would like to continue to hire these scrubber driers until they are replaced as part of the fleet replacement programme.
