Reasons for the decision

The procurement of this evidence base document is necessary to inform the update to the Local Plan. The update to the Local Plan was agreed by full Council on 21 February 2024. A new timetable for preparing the Plan was agreed by the Council’s Executive on 28 May 2026 and published on 5 June 2026.

Alternative options considered

The decision meets the statutory / policy requirements for the Council and there were no alternative options available.
