Procurement of IT mice to support the needs of IT users at the Council.

Reasons for the decision

Guildford's ICT team issues and maintains ICT equipment for the Council. Working stock of some types of peripheral equipment is now low or exhausted. It was therefore considered necessary to purchase a small quantity to ensure stock is available to enable Officers and Councillors to perform their roles, and for any other scenario the ICT team is asked to support.

Alternative options considered

Quotes were sought for a range of IT peripherals from suppliers that the Council has purchased from previously. Three suppliers came back with a range of options that were considered against the specification provided to them, with price being a significant part in the evaluation. As all three responses were for suitable products, the lower-cost option was chosen. As each product type was considered individually, the requirement for IT mice was awarded to Advania UK (CCS) Ltd.
