RESOLVED:
That Cabinet:
1.
Note the overall financial position of the Council and
in particular the overspend and the initiatives set out to mitigate
this, as at May 2025
2.
Approve the General Fund and HRA savings summarised in
2.10 and set out in detail in Appendix 1. These will be
incorporated into the 2026/27 HRA and Rent Setting Report going to
Cabinet in January 2026 and into the 2026/27 Budget Setting and
Council Tax report going to Full Council as part of its budget
setting process in March 2026.
REASONS for DECISION:
To facilitate financial management and control
of the Council's finances and to approve the savings at Appendix
1.
