1.
Undertake, in accordance with fiduciary duties, the actions
outlined in Mayor Woodley’s statement of 23 Sept 2025 on the
‘formal recognition of the state of Palestine and action on
divestment’ to take collective action with other London
councils, to explore the changes required to engage with, and
divest pension fund investments from, companies tied to human
rights breaches, including conflict.
2.
The Council will not engage in any twinning activity where conflict
is ongoing, including Hackney’s twinning arrangements with
Haifa., which is currently inactive.
3.
Write once again to the UK Government following the UN’s
findings and ongoing developments in the peace process.
