Purpose
The decisions required are necessary in order that the schemes within the Council’s approved Capital programme can be delivered and necessary to approve the property proposals as set out in this report.

Woodberry Down Primary School Emergency Kitchen works: Resource and spend approval for an additional £1,000k in 2026/27 is requested to facilitate the refurbishment
Linden Children’s Centre Replacement Safety Groundworks and Canopy: Resource and spend approval for £100k in 2026/27 is requested to deliver additional capital works at Linden Children Centre following a canopy collapse.

Furthermore, Cabinet will establish an equitable, time-limited process to evaluate credible, community-led alternatives that address the financial pressures faced by the Council.
